Почти 50 крупных утечек данных — хакеры похитили миллионы телефонных номеров и адресов россиян

Owners of fraudulent bots are buying personal data on the black market

In the first quarter of 2025, hackers stole more than 21.5 million phone numbers and 17 million email addresses of Russians. The largest number of leaks was recorded in logistics companies.

According to cybersecurity experts, there have been between 37 and 46 serious personal data leaks since the beginning of the year. To understand the scale, it's as if attackers stole information about all residents of Moscow and the Moscow region combined.

Logistics companies became the leader in the number of hacks. Information and entertainment resources were in second and third place. Interestingly, at the beginning of last year, banks suffered the most — then attackers stole data of 145 million phone numbers and 51 million email addresses.

Of particular concern is the high demand for stolen data from the owners of so-called "punching" bots. These programs automatically call people, posing as employees of banks or other organizations. Since the end of last year, fraudsters have been buying up almost all stolen data on the black market in order to expand databases for their fraudulent operations.
