Avtotor showcased the BAIC U5 Plus CNG car in St. Petersburg. The new product is a modern sedan that runs on eco-friendly fuel — methane.
BAIC U5 Plus CNG is the latest development of engineers from the Avtotor plant and specialists from Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel Systems. The new product is equipped with one 80-liter and two 39.1-liter cylinders with methane, located in the spare wheel well. This approach ensures the lowest possible center of gravity, making the car more stable.
The length of the BAIC U5 Plus CNG is 4660 mm, the width is 1820 mm, and the height is 1480 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2670 mm, and the ground clearance is 155 mm. The model is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a power of 105 hp, paired with a 5-speed gearbox or a CVT.
