An unusual phenomenon known as the "moon smile" or "cosmic smile" will be observable by Russians on the night of April 25. At this time, the Moon, Venus, and Saturn will align, forming a figure resembling a smiley face. Venus and Saturn will represent the "eyes," and the thin crescent of the Moon will be the "mouth."
To see this amazing sight, you need to find a place with an open horizon and look at the sky before dawn, around 4-5 am. Under favorable weather conditions, Mercury may join this celestial trio, adding brightness to the cosmic performance.
The "cosmic smile" will be visible to the naked eye and will last about an hour. This phenomenon does not occur often, so astronomers urge you not to miss the opportunity to observe it with your own eyes.
In addition to the "cosmic smile," the Lyrid meteor shower can be seen these days. Although the peak activity of this shower occurred on the night of April 22-23, on April 25 there is still a chance to see individual meteors streaking across the sky against the backdrop of the celestial smiley face.
