The company will also produce engines, instrument panels and exterior parts for cars

The production of gearboxes for modern cars is planned to be localized in the Tula region. The implementation of the project was discussed at the Auto Shanghai 2025 exhibition in China. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

The main topic was the cooperation between one of the largest automobile giants in China and the Tula region. At the closed part of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the localization of gearboxes in the Tula region.

The company also intends to increase the production of various parts in Russia (interior and exterior elements of cars, instrument panels and engines).

The first stage of the automobile enterprise was launched on the territory of the Uzlovaya industrial park in 2019. In March 2024, an engine plant was opened there. In total, the company invested over 64.1 billion rubles in the development of the enterprise, which emphasizes serious intentions to strengthen its position in the Russian market.
