The project should provide scientists with advanced computing power

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to consider the possibility of creating a national supercomputer center in the country.

The corresponding document was published on the official website of the Kremlin. The new center should provide Russian researchers with access to advanced computing power. The government is obliged to submit a report on this issue by July 15, 2025.

In addition, the head of state instructed the presidential administration to prepare proposals for preserving the scientific heritage of domestic scientists, engineers and designers who have made a significant contribution to the development of the country. These proposals must be submitted by June 1, 2025.

The government, together with the Rosatom State Corporation, should prepare proposals by June 1 to accelerate work on the creation of a research molten salt reactor and a spent nuclear fuel processing module.

Additionally, by August 15, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers should submit proposals on further directions for the development of technologies in the field of creating and producing advanced devices for accumulating and storing energy.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Vladimir Putin called for the more active introduction of quantum technologies for the development of the country.
