Уникальный прибор, который в 100 раз снизит стоимость операции на сердце, разработали в Новосибирске

Аналогов отечественной разработки учёных из НГТУ нет даже за рубежом

An innovative device has been created in Novosibirsk that automates the process of restoring vascular patency and improves blood flow to the heart. The development was carried out by specialists from the Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) at the request of the Meshalkin National Medical Research Center.

The design provides the necessary pressure to straighten the walls of blood vessels. The principle of operation of the device is simple and effective: the motor rotates the screw, along which a special platform with a pressure sensor moves. The platform pushes the syringe rod in two directions, which allows you to accurately control the pressure in the vessel.

The uniqueness of the development is that it significantly reduces the cost of the procedure. The cost of a disposable indeflator (a special syringe with a manometer) reaches 7 thousand rubles. When using the new platform with replaceable conventional syringes, the cost of the procedure is reduced to several tens of rubles.

Engineers have created a sample capable of providing pressure of 14 bar (approximately 14 atmospheres). The platform is equipped with sensors that, when connected to a computer, allow doctors to accurately control the pressure. The developers have achieved high accuracy - the readings on the computer completely coincide with the certified manometer. In the future, it is planned to fully automate pressure control.

Angioplasty is an important medical procedure that helps open blocked arteries and improve blood flow to the heart. During the operation, a thin tube (catheter) with a balloon at the end is inserted through a small incision into a blood vessel. The balloon is inflated at the site of blockage, expanding the vessel. A special syringe with a manometer (indeflator) is needed for manual inflation of the balloon and pressure control.

The platform developed at NSTU has no analogues in Russia or abroad. This is an important achievement of domestic medical engineering, which will help make complex operations more accessible to patients.
