Kicksharing company MTS Urent has introduced a cargo bike (cargo bicycle) for the safe transportation of electric scooters and replacement batteries around the city. This was reported in the company's press service.
The cargo bike is fully electric and aligns with the company's strategy to move away from gasoline vehicles in favor of environmentally friendly solutions. Already today, 50 of these bikes are actively used in Moscow to quickly replace electric scooter batteries.
The new product is equipped with a special case for transporting batteries for the service's electric scooters and bicycles. The electric bike can carry 12 batteries in one trip. This will speed up the battery replacement process.
The cargo bike is also equipped with a special trailer for transporting scooters. It can accommodate five devices at a time.
The manufacturer's goal was to move away from the previous method of moving electric scooters around the city ("scooter on a scooter"). The transportation of personal mobility devices will be made safer and more efficient.
Mass implementation of cargo bikes is planned for next year.
