The latest Lada Largus CNG cars will arrive at dealerships in late April – early May, according to Alexander Shaprinsky, Commercial Director of the Pragmatika dealer network.
The bi-fuel version may account for 5–7% of the total sales volume of the Largus family.
Among the advantages of Lada Largus CNG are fuel cost savings (almost 2 times compared to the gasoline version), a cylinder installation that does not require a large usable volume, and customer support from the factory for these cars, starting from the very first deliveries. It is also worth noting that the CNG cargo van has richer equipment than its gasoline version.
According to Alexander Shaprinsky, the new version of Lada Largus also has its conditional disadvantages. This refers to user distrust of gas fuel and an insufficient number of filling stations.
The target audience of the new model includes legal entities and commercial organizations involved in transportation and courier delivery, which have large fleet mileages.
Earlier, AvtoVAZ announced modernized bi-fuel Lada Largus CNG station wagons and vans. In the new version, the gas storage cylinders are located under the floor of the body, which allows you to save a spacious trunk and a standard 50-liter gas tank.
Cars can run on both methane and gasoline. Natural gas is pumped into three steel cylinders with a total volume of about 90 liters. When fully fueled, the Lada Largus CNG has a range of over 1,000 km. The car is equipped with a 16-valve 1.6-liter engine and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ launched production of the new Lada Largus.
