«Vysokotochka» predicted the unification of IFVs and APCs into a single new armored vehicle

There is a tendency to unify light armored vehicles

The «High-Precision Systems» holding (part of Rostec) predicted the emergence within ten years of a new armored vehicle that will combine the capabilities of two types of equipment at once — an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) with the capabilities of an airborne combat vehicle (APC) that can be landed.

Experts note that today there is a trend towards the unification of light armored vehicles. Vysokotochka recalled that the infantry fighting vehicle was originally conceived as a landing vehicle, for example, the BMP-2 has 38 successful landings.

Therefore, there is nothing supernatural here. And yes: it is more about them merging into some kind of single machine, this may happen within the next 10 years.
