In 2025, clinical trials of the HIFU therapy device "MedUza 008", developed by JSC "Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies" (KRET), (part of the Rostec State Corporation), with the support of the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnologies of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia, will begin in Russia.
The HIFU therapy device "MedUza 008", developed by our KRET in conjunction with the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnologies of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia, is completing the tests necessary to obtain a registration certificate. Clinical approbation is scheduled for the second half of 2025.
"MedUza 008" will become a domestic alternative to foreign devices, which will make modern technologies more accessible to Russian hospitals.
HIFU therapy is a method of treating tumors with strong sound waves similar to ultrasound. These waves are directed precisely at diseased cells without damaging healthy skin. Then the temperature of the affected area rises to 60-90 degrees Celsius - so cancer cells die without leaving scars. Therefore, the treatment is safe and less painful for patients.
The introduction of a robot assistant in the treatment process will increase the accuracy of exposure and reduce the burden on medical personnel, eliminating errors associated with the human factor. "MedUza 008" will not only improve the quality of treatment, but also make it safer for patients.
