The submarine "Novorossiysk" of project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) after combat service in the Mediterranean Sea underwent scheduled repairs at one of the factories in the north-west of Russia.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not officially reported this.
Earlier it became known that the submarine "Novorossiysk" in September 2024 became part of the Permanent Operational Unit of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea.
The submarine "Novorossiysk" is the first in a series of six submarines of project 636.3, built at the "Admiralty Shipyards" of the United Shipbuilding Corporation for the Black Sea Fleet. The submarines of the project are armed with "Caliber-PL" cruise missiles.
