Serial production of the new Lada Iskra model will begin on April 19, 2025, but in the first days only three cars will roll off the assembly line. Before this date, the plant will also assemble three pre-production copies per day, and from April 26 to May 11, production on line No. 5 in Togliatti will be completely stopped for modernization for the new product.
In April, it is planned to produce 16,146 cars on the Lada Granta assembly line, including 7,509 sedans, 2,457 cross-wagons and 6,121 liftbacks. At the same time, Iskra will account for only 59 cars for the entire month - less than 0.4% of the total volume. The daily program until April 19 includes 386 Granta sedans, 126 wagons, 314 liftbacks and three Iskra units.
Even on the day of the official start, the plan includes the assembly of only three serial copies. Previously assembled cars will be exhibited for the mass scene near the assembly line
After a pause associated with the re-equipment of the line and the corporate leave of employees, the production of Iskra will reach full capacity only in the second half of May.
