The Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome this morning at 8:47:15. Three hours later, at 11:58 Moscow time, the manned spacecraft docked with the ISS and automatically docked to the Prichal module of the Russian segment of the station.
The docking of the ship with the ISS occurred almost 10 minutes earlier than the time planned by Roscosmos, but did not affect the successful completion of the flight.
Cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov and Alexei Zubritsky and astronaut Jonathan Kim will be met on board the ISS by Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexei Ovchinin, Ivan Wagner and Kirill Peskov, as well as NASA astronauts Donald Pettit, Anne McClain, Nicole Ayers and Takuya Onishi.
You can watch the procedure for opening the hatches in a live broadcast from Roscosmos available from 14:15 Moscow time.
