EW complex "Svet-KU" will protect airfields from kamikaze drones

Electronic warfare specialists of the Northern Fleet suppressed UAVs during airfield defense training

Electronic warfare (EW) specialists of the Northern Fleet suppressed a drone using the "Svet-KU" complex during a training exercise to protect the fleet's airfields, the Ministry of Defense press service reported.

The crew of the mobile group, using detection equipment, quickly determined the operating frequency of the UAV control channel, took a bearing on the target, and began suppressing it with EW complexes.

The head of the technical control station, Gennady, explained that the "Svet-KU" complex allows identifying the location of a drone, after which suppression means are directed at it.

We can detect any sources of radiation within a radius of 30 km. Training helps to hone our skills, which are then applied on the line of combat contact.
