The Yandex team has announced the launch of the final version of YandexGPT 5 Lite. The neural network is now available for commercial and regular use. The license allows the model to be used if the volume of output tokens does not exceed 10 million per month.
The new version has undergone an additional stage of tuning and can effectively solve specific tasks on request. Unlike the Pretrain version, which requires additional training, Instruct has basic ethical settings that can be adapted to specific requirements.
YandexGPT 5 Lite Instruct has demonstrated excellent results in international tests and adaptations for the Russian language.
The model is comparable to the Chinese analogue Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct, but surpasses it in classification and text markup tasks.
Users can test the model's capabilities for free in a chat with «Alice». There are restrictions of five requests per day for them. An API in Yandex Cloud is available for business clients: the model can be fine-tuned for their needs.
