JSC "LOMO" (Kalashnikov concern) presented the Illumina s35 mk-3 line of film lenses designed for use in film equipment at the CPS 2025 exhibition.
The company's booth also features previous generation film optics, as well as zonal and macro lenses.
Illumina s35 mk-3 lenses have a number of advantages. They guarantee aperture, have high resolution, suppression of flare and reflections, as well as smooth and reliable focus and aperture control. Improved optical characteristics of the 18 mm focal length lens, the ability to install additional equipment on the front of the lenses, the same location of the gears of the mechanisms controlling focus and aperture, black matte coating of the aperture blades, protection of internal surfaces from dust and the ability to work with anamorphic attachments - all this makes these lenses ideal for professional shooting.
The technical characteristics of the lenses include focal lengths of 18 mm, 25 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm and 85 mm. All lenses have a relative aperture of T 1.3. The minimum shooting distance varies from 0.25 m for an 18 mm lens to 0.9 m for an 85 mm lens. The angular field of view in the object space ranges from 86.6° for an 18 mm lens to 20.5° for an 85 mm lens. The length of the lenses varies from 129 mm to 141 mm depending on the focal length, and the weight ranges from 1.6 kg to 2.2 kg. The outer frame diameter is 95 mm.
The optical characteristics of the lenses have been confirmed by independent comparative tests conducted by professional cinematographers from Russia, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands and other countries, which indicates a high level of their quality.
