For the first time in history, AvtoVAZ has offered its employees the opportunity to purchase not only Lada cars, but also Xcite crossovers at a discount. This became possible due to the expansion of the discount program, which now includes the Xcite X-Cross 7 model.
Previously, AvtoVAZ had long denied its involvement in the Xcite project, despite the fact that cars of this brand were initially sold through AvtoVAZ dealers. Now, this can be considered official confirmation that Xcite crossovers are closely related to the Togliatti auto giant.
AvtoVAZ employees can purchase the junior Xcite X-Cross 7 crossover of the 2024 model year in two trim levels: Enjoy and Techno. The discount for employees depends on their length of service: for those with less than 10 years of service, the discount is 7%, and for those with more than 10 years of service, it is 10%.
The recommended retail price of the Xcite X-Cross 7 model in the Enjoy configuration is 2.5 million rubles, and in the Techno configuration it is 2.636 million rubles. Thus, AvtoVAZ employees can purchase a car for a minimum price of 2.25 or 2.372 million rubles, depending on the configuration. However, on the market, cars can be bought much cheaper from dealers, as discounts on Xcite can reach 540 thousand rubles.
Although the connection between the Lada and Xcite brands is not officially confirmed, Xcite crossovers are sold through official AvtoVAZ dealers. Cars under the Xcite brand are assembled at the "Avtozavod St. Petersburg", which is formally not associated with AvtoVAZ. Structurally, the X-Cross 7 is almost an identical copy of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, the only difference being the nameplates.
Despite the discounts, demand for Xcite cars in Russia does not inspire much enthusiasm. According to unofficial data, there are still about 10,000 unsold cars of this brand in warehouses.
