The main Russian arms concern Kalashnikov will begin mastering the production of the new RPL-20 belt-fed light machine gun in 2025. The plant is already developing technical processes for mass production.
RPL-20 is the first belt-fed light machine gun developed by the Kalashnikov Design and Technology Center. The weapon was used in combat. Later, the concern's engineers refined it based on the recommendations of military personnel.
The machine gun is designed to engage enemy personnel, firing points, and vehicles. The main feature of the RPL-20 is the ability to load the machine gun by pulling the belt without opening the receiver.
