The largest microelectronics manufacturer, Element Company, intends to launch mass production of power modules for fast charging stations (EV charging stations) in Moscow. The industrial site will help accelerate the development of charging infrastructure, which is so necessary for the growing popularity of electric transport.
This year, the company intends to produce the first batch of 1,000 power modules, and from 2026, production volume will reach 10-15 thousand modules per year. Industry experts believe that the company's plans will be an important step in creating comfortable conditions for electric vehicle owners, as well as the development of environmentally friendly transport in the country.
Currently, there is a shortage of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Russia: there are already 15 electric vehicles per station. According to experts, by 2030, the number of electric vehicles in the country will grow to 593.5 thousand, which will require the installation of 72 thousand charging stations.
