AvtoVAZ has started production of the Lada Largus in the CNG version, capable of running on gasoline and methane. Using gas as fuel will reduce refueling costs by 2–3 times compared to the gasoline version.
A feature of the Lada Largus CNG is the new layout of gas cylinders located under the car's floor. Previously, they were located in part of the luggage compartment, which reduced usable space. In the new version, the trunk volume remains the same, and the gas tank will retain its factory 50 liters.
The range of the Lada Largus CNG will reach 1000 km in a mixed cycle. For example, a standard station wagon with a 16-valve gasoline engine can travel about 640 km. Previously, the bi-fuel version produced 94 hp on methane versus 106 hp on gasoline. The characteristics and prices of the updated version will be announced later.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ announced a discount of 300 thousand rubles on the new Lada Aura under one condition.
