Lada cars have faced sales problems, which has led to significant accumulations of unsold cars in warehouses. According to AvtoVAZ, the volume of dealer inventories reached 100 thousand units, although the normal figure is 60 thousand.
In total, there are about 700 thousand cars in the country's warehouses, of which 52% are domestic models.
According to the director of the Avtoreal 16 car dealership, the situation is related to economic factors. High credit rates force Russians to abandon large purchases, including cars.
Despite the launch of the Lada Finance program, it does not provide sufficient demand stimulation in the context of general economic instability. The car dealership notes a record drop in sales in January-February of this year, and the number of unsold cars is likely to continue to grow.
