The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia stated that they had not received specific proposals for the introduction of mandatory technical inspection when selling used cars.
According to representatives of the ministry, such an initiative may be discussed among dealers, but no official mechanisms have been submitted for consideration.
Earlier, several media outlets reported that a working group of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is developing a bill that would oblige individuals to inspect cars before selling them at official dealerships or service stations. Allegedly, dealers will be required to conduct a car inspection.
