Weather-sensitive individuals, prepare: a powerful magnetic storm may hit Earth by evening

A weak G-class magnetic storm has been ongoing for almost a day

Currently, a weak G-class magnetic storm is observed on Earth. It may intensify to a moderate level within a day, according to the press service of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI and ISZF.

Constant magnetic fluctuations have been recorded since March 12. The cause of the turbulent geomagnetic activity is three coronal holes that formed on the Sun. These areas with reduced plasma density directly affect space weather.

March promises to be geomagnetically active, especially in the second half of the month.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that moderate geomagnetic disturbances are possible in the near future.
