Modernized BMP-2Ms with the universal "Berezhok" module are increasingly being supplied to the military. The Ministry of Defense has revealed the equipment of combat vehicles.
Crews also receive a thermal imager, a 30-mm AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher and a tank armor "burner" - the Kornet missile system in the basic kit.
Running-in of equipment is a mandatory procedure. I am well acquainted with the BMP-1 and BMP-2, but the modernized models of combat vehicles are frankly pleasing.
BMP-2M is a modification of the BMP-2, which has been mass-produced since 1980, with the Berezhok combat module. Instead of the main sight of the BPK-2-42 gunner, the module received a combined sight with an independent system for stabilizing the line of sight in two planes. It combines a guided missile guidance channel, a sighting optical, thermal imaging and laser rangefinder channels.
