A "Niva" from the first batch is up for sale – a classic VAZ-2121 from 1977, which will soon be 48 years old. This SUV, with a body number from the first thousand cars produced, was found in Novosibirsk.
The car is painted in mustard color, its perfect condition is the result of restoration. The seller claims that the restoration was carried out taking into account the features of early cars. The car looks "like it just came off the assembly line, only after manual assembly."
According to the seller, the car had three owners, but details of its condition before restoration are not disclosed. Judging by the early identification number, this "Niva" was assembled in the summer of 1977. It is known that cars for sale began to be assembled only in July, and the thousandth unit rolled off the assembly line in Togliatti on August 31 of the same year. The car has a black interior, and one of its characteristic features is a radio from the Soviet era.
The seller is asking 2.7 million rubles for this rare SUV, but does not give a clear justification for the price. At the same time, authentic Soviet-made "Nivas" with low mileage on classifieds are usually valued at around one million rubles. For comparison, a capsule VAZ-2121 from 1980 with a mileage of 220 kilometers is currently on sale for 30 million rubles, and its price only increases every year.
The seller assures that the car is preserved in its original form, emphasizes its first year of production and the presence of a numbered body from the first thousand cars produced. He also notes that in the photo you can see all the differences from later versions and offers assistance with car delivery by car transporter.
