NASA решает проблему с обшивкой двигателей Crew Dragon перед миссией на МКС, на нём полетит космонавт Кирилл Песков

The malfunction is related to the engine fairing

NASA is actively working to fix malfunctions related to the engine fairing of the Crew Dragon spacecraft. The Crew-10 mission, which includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov, is scheduled to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on this spacecraft. This was announced by Ken Bowersox, head of NASA's manned program.

The launch of Crew Dragon is planned from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Along with Peskov, the crew includes NASA astronauts Anne McClain, Nicole Ayers, and Takuya Onishi from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

In mid-March, Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov and astronauts Nick Hague, Sunita Williams, and Barry Eugene Wilmore will return to Earth aboard Crew Dragon. Williams and Wilmore have been on the ISS since June of last year, and their return was delayed due to a malfunction of the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.

As a result, NASA decided to return the astronauts to Earth using Crew Dragon. The Crew-9 was reduced, and instead of four specialists, Gorbunov and Hague were sent to the station. Williams and Wilmore will take the two free seats during the descent.
