Не ослабят накал: иностранные хакеры продолжают угрожать бизнесу в России

Most often, attackers use social engineering and phishing

Politically motivated hackers in 2024 have stepped up attacks on companies in Russia, according to information security experts at Garda and F6.

According to specialists at Garda, in 2024, up to 40% of all cyberattacks were carried out by hackers acting out of ideological motives or in the interests of foreign states. Among the cyber threats, the most effective methods are — social engineering and phishing.

In 2025, experts believe that we can expect continued attacks on supply chains, exploitation of vulnerabilities in software products, and the use of leaked credentials.

F6 notes that the total number of DDoS attacks last year increased by at least 50%. Experts are confident that in 2025 the geopolitical confrontation in cyberspace will continue.

Hackers will use mass malware, including that sold on the darknet, which will complicate distinguishing between types of cyber threats.

Businesses and government agencies need to adapt to new challenges by implementing modern security technologies and raising awareness of cyber threats, experts believe.
