A self-ban service for SIM card registration is planned to be introduced on the "Gosuslugi" portal, which will help in the fight against fraud. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Government Office Dmitry Grigorenko.
According to him, fraudsters often use SIM cards registered to other citizens, using their personal data for this purpose. The introduction of a self-ban will allow people to independently limit the possibility of registering SIM cards in their name, which will reduce the risk of fraudulent schemes.
