The Tenet 32T crossover (an adapted version of the Chery Tiggo 7L) has officially received Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for the Russian market. Production of the model is organized at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga.
The Tenet 32T is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 150 horsepower. It works in conjunction with a 7-speed robotic gearbox.
The car is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
This expands its competitive capabilities in the mid-size crossover segment.
The new product is expected to appear at dealerships in the coming months, and prices and configurations will be announced later.
As a reminder, last week the AGR holding announced the launch of a new Russian automobile brand, Tenet, under which rebranded Chery models will be produced.
