Не нравятся не только клаустрофобам: число нарушений при обслуживании лифтов в России выросло в четыре раза за год

Проблема усугубляется тем, что у 20% лифтов в стране уже закончился срок эксплуатации

According to Rostekhnadzor, the number of violations in elevator maintenance in Russia in 2024 increased fourfold compared to 2023. In 2024, 5.6 thousand violations were recorded, while a year earlier there were only 1.5 thousand. Among the most frequent violations are non-compliance with inspection deadlines, the use of unqualified repairmen, and the continued operation of faulty elevators.

The problem is exacerbated by the fact that 20% of the country's elevators have already reached the end of their service life. As a result, the risk of accidents has increased, as many elevators are used despite the potential safety hazard.

The increase in the number of violations is associated with shortcomings in the maintenance and repair of elevators. In 2024, the Rostekhnadzor authorities received 4,020 complaints from citizens regarding the improper operation of elevators, most of which concerned domestic models. In some regions of the country, such as the Ulyanovsk and Yaroslavl regions, the proportion of overdue elevators reaches more than 40%.

As a result of elevator accidents over the past three years, 26 people have been injured, six of whom have died. In 2024, there were four accidents, and in 2025 there have been no incidents so far.

Unqualified elevator maintenance and the inappropriate technical condition of lifting mechanisms increase the likelihood of accidents and injuries. At the same time, despite the existence of regulations prescribing elevator inspections, not all elevator owners comply with safety requirements, which also contributes to an increase in the number of incidents.
