Factories Overfilled with Illiquid Assets: Total Number of Unsold Xcite Cars Reaches 8,000

Only 1–1.5 Thousand Car Kits Remain for Xcite Crossovers

At the former Nissan plant in Russia, now called "Avtozavod St. Petersburg," there are about 1–1.5 thousand car kits left for Xcite crossovers. There are no signs of receiving new ones. This was reported by Sergey Tsyganov, an auto expert and host of the Telegram channel "Russian Automobile."

According to him, the project will most likely be closed, but this will not be announced immediately so as not to hinder the sale of cars, which are not in great demand anyway.

The total number of unsold cars, including those at dealerships, is conservatively estimated at no less than 8,000. In January, 480 Xcite cars were sold with various discounts. That is, even with discounts, these cars can be sold for at least another year.

Even despite the discounts, these cars can be sold for at least another year. At the same time, most Xcite cars were produced in 2024, and by the end of the year they may become completely illiquid. Therefore, they will try to sell them in the spring months, in April-May, despite possible losses.

Accordingly, they will try to sell them during the spring peak, in April-May, despite possible losses. And only then will they announce the closure of the project.
