The ship "Admiral Nakhimov" was commissioned in 1988. In 1999, the cruiser was put into repair with modernization, which started in 2013.

The modernized "Admiral Nakhimov" will receive ten universal firing complexes, accommodating eight Kalibr-NK or Onyx cruise missiles each.
