The "Soaring Machines" shipyard has completed the construction of a new passenger hovercraft called "Vasily Ilyin", developed under project PM44, the shipyard's press service reported.
The new vessel can accommodate 40 passengers and 2 crew members. It is powered by two diesel 6-cylinder engines with a capacity of 300 hp each, manufactured by "Kama-diesel".
"Vasily Ilyin" is equipped with two variable pitch propellers (reversible), two fuel tanks with a total capacity of 800 liters, and two 25-seat rafts each. The design includes LED and xenon lighting, double polycarbonate glazing, luggage areas and a toilet room.
During sea trials, the vessel demonstrated a maximum speed of 70 km/h on water and more than 100 km/h on ice and snow.
