Specialists of the Tula plant "Octava" (the enterprise is managed by "RT-Capital", which is part of the Rostec Group) have developed the "Obereg" body armor for concealed carrying under clothing. This was reported by the corporation's press service.

Characteristics of the "Obereg" body armor for concealed carrying:

  • Weight — 1.7 kg
  • Armor area — more than 31 square decimeters
  • Protection class — Br1 (stops a pistol bullet from a 9x18 mm cartridge from a distance of 5 meters, a bullet from a Western 9x19 mm Parabellum pistol cartridge)
  • Fragment protection class — C2
  • Does not restrict movement and is adjusted to the figure
"Obereg" body armor for concealed carrying

The new version of the "Obereg" body armor is suitable for employees of security companies. It can be worn under a jacket and under outerwear.

The protection includes front, back and side panels. The sides of the vest can be removed. Elastic cummerbunds with Velcro fasteners allow you to change the dimensions of the product in girth, and shoulder straps allow you to adjust it in height.

The "Octava" plant produces a wide range of body armor. These include "Obereg-S" for humanitarian demining specialists (equipped with ballistic packages of protection class C2 and Br1+), "Obereg-INKASS" for collectors (protection class Br4), assault body armor (protection class Br5).
