A double record of atmospheric pressure is forecast in Moscow - barometer readings will reach 774 mm Hg. This was announced by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center.
Due to the Siberian anticyclone, the atmospheric pressure record may be broken late in the evening. Barometers may show a value of 774 mm Hg or 1032 hPa. The previous record for this date was recorded in 2012 (1031.6 hPa).
On Saturday, February 8, Muscovites will experience another record of atmospheric pressure, which has been held since 1969 (1026.1 hPa). Residents of the capital will feel as if they are at a depth of almost 300 meters underground.
The day before, on February 6, a solar flare occurred,close to the maximum class X.
