The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, announced the need for stricter control over the certification of Chinese cars.
According to him, Chinese automakers are actively conquering the Russian market. To restore the balance between the share of domestic cars and those imported into our country, the ministry is consistently increasing the recycling fee. According to Alikhanov, this is not enough.
The minister believes that enhanced work is required to verify the compliance of serial batches of imported Chinese cars. He explained that as a result of the analysis of trucks from China, serious violations were identified in three brands.
We will take measures on such cases, up to the revocation of the certificate, and work with the Prosecutor General's Office. This is extremely necessary, given that the demand for trucks may fall by a quarter.
