Rare footage of the Italmas kamikaze drone in combat configuration has appeared online. The drone, developed by Izhevsk's Aeroscan, was first presented in September 2023, and little has been known about it since then.
The drone is built according to the "flying wing" scheme, like the well-known Geran drone. The Italmas is equipped with an internal combustion engine. Fuel is poured directly into the wings, which act as a huge fuel tank.
In the nose of the Italmas is a power plant to increase stealth from air defense systems (ADS) with thermal homing heads. Additional cooling of the engine by a pulling propeller significantly reduces thermal radiation.
The Italmas has a flight range of 200 km, a length of 2.5 m, a wingspan of 2.5 m, and a warhead mass of 50 kg.
