Kolomna Plant (KZ, part of TMH Energy Solutions) has completed the supply of 1-9GMG gas piston engine generators for the modernization of the energy complex of the Southern Electric Networks of Kamchatka (UESK). This was reported by the company's press service.
The new engines have a number of advantages over imported counterparts: the unification of 1-9GMG parts and assemblies (up to 80%) with D49 diesel engines ensures high maintainability, low maintenance and spare parts costs, and allows the use of the extensive service infrastructure created over the past decades. The distributed fuel gas supply system provides higher pick-up performance than engines using an external gas supply system.
1-9GMG gas piston units save electricity, especially in an isolated power system. They are adapted to harsh climatic conditions.
Power plants with gas piston engine generators can operate autonomously, in parallel with the grid or other power plants.
1-9GMG gas piston units can be used as primary or backup sources of electricity and heat for industrial and commercial facilities. The power of the engine generators is 900 kW.
Earlier www1.ru reported that KMZ supplied three autonomous diesel generators for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
