Automotive journalist Maxim Kadakov discussed the features of the sports version of the classic Niva, named Lada Niva Sport. A video dedicated to the car appeared on the YouTube channel AutoMPS.
According to the journalist, the SUV's rear suspension has four levers. The car is equipped with a stabilizer bar and lacks a Panhard rod. The developers changed the steering column position to improve driver comfort.
Lada Marketing Director Sergei Kornienko said that the new Niva has a single lever for controlling the transfer case and low gear. The sports version of the SUV comes with 17-inch wheels with a dimension of 215/60.
The power of the Lada Niva Sport is still unknown. Maxim Kadakov suggests that the engine power will be 120 horsepower. The price of the car is also unclear. Sergei Kornienko noted that the cost of the sports Niva will be "slightly higher than the production version."
