Новейший прицел с ИИ для АК-12 с гранатомётом ГПР-20 разработали в России

The device is equipped with a thermal imager and ballistic computer

A promising computerized sight for mounting on the AK-12 assault rifle with the GPR-20 grenade launcher was presented at a closed exhibition, according to military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

The new product is equipped with a laser rangefinder, a ballistic computer, an electronic weather station, a thermal imager, and a machine target recognition system based on artificial intelligence (AI) and loaded templates.

According to the patent, the sight is capable of identifying an enemy soldier and calculating the point of impact of a 5.45 bullet or a GPR-20 rocket-propelled grenade fired from an automatic weapon, taking into account the distance and wind, thanks to a ballistic computer with corrections for wind speed and direction, pressure, temperature, and humidity.

Whether the sight has begun testing is currently unknown. In the patent, it is called the "automated small arms fire control system."

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones have learned to fly at extremely low altitudes.
