Russian regions have received about 13.7 thousand units of new public transport over the past five years as part of the national project "Safe Quality Roads." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
According to him, 7.7 thousand units of such equipment were sent to the regions last year, including 7.3 thousand buses, 145 trolleybuses, 230 trams and 46 electric buses. Dagestan received 47 new buses, and Karelia purchased 27 trolleybuses for Petrozavodsk for the first time. The Krasnodar Territory has acquired 212 buses, 16 electric buses and 20 trams in five years.
Comfortable travel on public transport is a prerequisite for the full development of settlements, unloading roads and the well-being of our citizens.
According to him, it is planned to supply another 33 thousand public transport vehicles to the regions of Russia over the next six years as part of the new national project "Infrastructure for Life".
