Six More Ivolga 4.0 Trains Deployed on D4

The train can carry over 2,500 passengers simultaneously

Six more Ivolga 4.0 trains were launched on the D4 route during the holidays. This was reported by the Moscow Department of Transport.

The 11-car train can carry more than 2,500 passengers simultaneously.

Ten modern electric trains now run on the fourth diameter. The Ivolga 4.0 is a train that passengers love for a number of advantages: comfortable soft seats, a spacious interior, and the availability of sockets for charging gadgets. In addition, the cars have a third door, which speeds up the process of boarding and disembarking passengers.

The Ivolga 4.0 is a modern city train designed specifically for the Moscow Central Diameters. The development and production of this train is carried out by Transmashholding, the largest Russian company in the field of transport engineering. The trains are manufactured at the Tver Carriage Works.

The main difference between the Ivolga-4 and previous models is the presence of a third door in the intermediate cars. Previously, there were only two.

As a reminder, the Ivolga 4.0 train is 98% composed of domestic components, which are produced by more than 600 enterprises. Unlike previous versions, which used electric motors from the Austrian company Traktionssysteme Austria, the new model is equipped with Russian units.
