В Калининграде предложили превращать мазут в экоуголь

Для реализации идеи планируют использовать технологию, разработанную в 2014 году

Kaliningrad State Technical University (KSTU) has proposed turning fuel oil collected on the Black Sea coast into eco-coal. This is reported by the university's press service.

University scientists are asking the leadership of the regions of the Black Sea coast that are struggling with catastrophic pollution to pay attention to their patents, which are now widely available. Back in 2014, KSTU developed advanced technologies for converting heavy oil fractions into high-calorie solid fuel (eco-coal).

According to scientists, the problem of fuel oil disposal can be solved rationally. It can be used for the production of solid fuel (eco-coal) and building materials.

This composite material, containing synthetic plastic waste, heavy oil fractions and natural fillers, for example, such as peat, algae, tree bark and other materials, can be used, depending on the ratio of components, both as an effective solid fuel and as water-repellent mastics.

It is worth mentioning that on December 15, 2024, the tankers "Volgoneft 212" and "Volgoneft 239" crashed in the Kerch Strait area. As a result of the disaster, about 2.4 thousand tons of oil products got into the sea.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Ministry of Transport and Rosprirodnadzor are thinking about how to raise the sunken tankers from the bottom of the Kerch Strait.
