The Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile system is the most powerful conventional weapon. The strength of the new Russian weapon was assessed by military analyst Drago Bosnic in an article for the InfoBRICS portal.

Bosnic writes that thanks to its unique characteristics, the new Russian missile is virtually impossible to intercept.
At the end of November, it became known that Russia used the "Oreshnik" in combat conditions for the first time in a non-nuclear configuration. President Vladimir Putin noted that Russia is testing several systems similar to the "Oreshnik", and they have no analogues in the world. The range of the "Oreshnik" is up to 5.5 thousand km.
Each of the Oreshnik's warheads performs an anti-missile maneuver, and then strikes the programmed target. The blocks are equipped with their own propulsion system, which does not allow potential interceptors to calculate the interception point.
