Specialists from PAO Kirov Plant Mayak (part of the Kalashnikov arms concern) have completed testing of equipment for remote wired control of the launcher for the Konkurs-M anti-tank missile system (ATGM). This was reported by the concern's press service.
As explained in the press service, the development of remote control took into account the experience of using Konkurs-M in real combat operations. The equipment is needed to protect the crew from retaliatory fire.
Servicemen can engage targets while being away from the launcher. The remote control kit allows controlling three ATGMs.
Features of the Konkurs-M:
- Preparation for combat work — no more than 20 minutes
- Weight of the remote control panel up to 10 kg
- Operating time of the remote control kit — up to 8 hours
