Latest Extended-Range OF56IM-1 Projectiles Arrived for Russian Artillery: Will Cause Problems at a Distance of 20 km

Intended for D-30 Howitzers and Gvozdika Self-Propelled Guns

New Russian 122-mm extended-range OF56IM-1 projectiles continue to appear more and more frequently on the front lines.

The radius of action of the D-30 howitzer and Gvozdika self-propelled gun has now grown by 4 km, from 15.3 km to 19.3 km.

Now the D-30 and Gvozdika crews can conduct counter-battery fire in the course of confronting remote American 105-mm towed howitzers M109A3 at a distance of more than 15.5 km, whose M913 RAP rocket-assisted projectiles have a range of 19 km.
