The presentation of the "Volga C40" sedan, "Volga K30" and "Volga K40" crossovers took place in May this year. But the project to revive the legendary brand has been put on hold. This was reported in the Wroom.ru publication.
It was expected that re-badged versions of Changan models with a slightly updated design would be launched into production. It was also planned to release the "Volga C40" sedan at the end of 2024, after which crossovers were to be put on the assembly line. It was planned to assemble up to 100,000 cars annually.
The production of cars was to be carried out by the Nizhny Novgorod company "Production of passenger cars". Representatives of the company have not yet clarified the situation regarding the delay in the release of new cars.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a Russian designer presented a business sedan with a classic style.
