The cost of vehicle inspection from the new year for owners of passenger cars will increase by 7.3-7.5%, depending on the region. Regional authorities must approve tariffs for vehicle inspection by December 20, according to an order from the FAS.
Thus, in most regions, vehicle inspection for a passenger car will increase by 7.4-7.5% — from 1021–1022 rubles to 1097–1098 rubles.
The FAS press service reported that at the beginning of 2025, the service will conduct a new analysis of vehicle inspection prices. The service introduced an annual tariff indexation in 2022. Regions request information on expenses from vehicle inspection operators, calculating an "economically justified" tariff by December 20.
