Russian cities are now safe from drones: Rostec presents a comprehensive solution for drone protection

The development functions on the basis of the Sfera UAV suppression system

Chelyabinsk Radio Plant "Polet" (part of Rostec Group) has developed a comprehensive zonal radar protection for cities from drone attacks. It operates on the basis of the Sfera drone detection and suppression system. The project was presented by Alexey Naumenko, General Director of Polet.

The main element — the "Sfera" complex of various modifications — has already confirmed its effectiveness on the line of combat contact in the zone of the Special Military Operation. Installed on a vehicle, it neutralized more than 10 enemy combat drones in motion, which is confirmed by extracts from the combat log. In November of this year, the "Sfera-MB" complex passed tests at the research institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The system created at the plant is capable of detecting and suppressing various types of drones to protect individual objects and the safety of entire cities. The modular design of the "Sfera" product allows it to be configured depending on specific goals and objectives.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian soldiers are using "traffic lights" to alert about UAVs.
