Piston Pin Production for KAMAZ P-6 Engines Launched in Russia

The engines are installed on K5 series trucks

The Kostroma Automotive Components Plant has launched mass production of piston pins for KAMAZ P-6 family engines, as well as for new promising YaMZ engines of the 535, 855 and 770 series. As a result of an increase in production capacity by almost 40%, the plant is now capable of producing up to 1.1 million units annually.

Denis Shmigel, General Director of Kostroma Automotive Components Plant, noted that the production capacity for piston pins for diesel engines was launched back in 2018 as part of the import substitution program. The piston pin is one of the key components of the internal combustion engine piston group and is made of special structural alloy steel.

The products comply with international environmental standards Euro-4, Euro-5 and Euro-6.
